🏀 KING OF THE COURT 2026 Official Event Description & Rules About the Event King of the Court is AthVora's premier 1-on-1 basketball competition, designed to identify the most complete individual player on the court. Unlike traditional team basketball, this format tests every aspect of a player's game—ball handling, shooting, finishing, footwork, defense, decision-making, stamina, and mental toughness. The tournament serves as the official pre-fest event for AthVora Streetball Fest 2026, bringing together talented players from across North India for an exciting day of intense one-on-one competition. Rules
Tournament Format Knockout format. Every match is a direct elimination. Winners advance to the next round. Finals determine the King of the Court Champion. Match Rules 1. Playing Format 1 vs 1. Half-court only. One official basket. 2. Winning Score First player to score 11 points wins. A player must win by 2 points if the score reaches 10-10. Maximum score cap: 15 points. 3. Scoring Inside the three-point line = 1 point Outside the three-point line = 2 points 4. Possession Initial possession decided by coin toss. After every made basket, possession changes. Every new possession starts from behind the three-point line ("clear the ball"). 5. Check Ball Every possession begins with a "check ball" at the top of the key. 6. Shot Clock 12-second shot clock. Failure to attempt a shot before the buzzer results in a turnover. 7. Fouls No excessive physical contact. Offensive fouls result in loss of possession. Unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to technical foul or disqualification. 8. Out of Bounds Ball awarded to the defensive player. Possession restarts with a check ball. 9. Timeouts One 30-second timeout per player. 10. Match Officials Referee decisions are final. No protests regarding judgement calls. Code of Conduct Players are expected to: Respect referees and officials. Respect opponents. Maintain sportsmanship. Avoid abusive language. Play fairly at all times. Any player found engaging in misconduct, violence, or abusive behaviour may be immediately disqualified without refund. Eligibility Valid registration is mandatory. Players may participate only in their eligible category. Organizers may request proof of age for U19 participants. Players must report at least 30 minutes before their scheduled match. Dress Code Sports shoes are compulsory. Appropriate basketball attire is mandatory. No jewellery or watches during play. Prizes 🏆 Champion (Each Category) – ₹5,100 + Trophy + Goodies
